Food for Fines!

If you have library fines and some extra groceries,

The Licia & Mason Beekley Community Library

is offering you an easy way to pay off those overdue fines

and help your neighbors, too.

For one month, beginning with National Library Week,

which starts on Monday, April 12^th, through

Saturday, May 9^th, The Beekley Library will be

collecting food donations in lieu of fines.

Bring your nonperishable food items to the Library

Circulation desk and we will waive your fines for overdue items.

We will waive one dollar for each item donated

to help feed the people in need.

Charges for lost or damaged items cannot be waived.

Please only bring in nonperishable food items

within expiration date.

No fines? Please make a food donation anyway.

The food items will be picked up at the Library by a member

of the New Hartford Senior Center and delivered to

The Friendly Hands Food Bank in Torrington.
